Synopsis from Goodreads:
I’ve lost it. :( The only thing in the world I wasn’t supposed to lose. My engagement ring. It’s been in Magnus’s family for three generations. And now the very same day his parents are coming, I’ve lost it. The very same day! Do not hyperventilate, Poppy. Stay positive :) !!

Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry her ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her “happily ever after” begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect!

Well, perfect except that the phone’s owner, businessman Sam Roxton, doesn’t agree. He wants his phone back and doesn’t appreciate Poppy reading his messages and wading into his personal life.

What ensues is a hilarious and unpredictable turn of events as Poppy and Sam increasingly upend each other’s lives through emails and text messages. As Poppy juggles wedding preparations, mysterious phone calls, and hiding her left hand from Magnus and his parents... she soon realizes that she is in for the biggest surprise of her life.

My Thoughts

Ohmygawd. I know that this one's an old book already (ish). Heck, it's published 2011! It's been sitting on my TBR pile for so long, but I never got to have the feeling of wanting to read it, so I kept on putting it off. I totally regret doing so.

With its humor, Sophie Kinsella's I've Got Your Number was very stress-relieving. Even though the plot was light and easy to understand, I can't help but still gush about the entire book. Moreover, it was an instant click between Poppy and me because I totally can find myself in her character. With the way she flails and texts and everything, omigod, I felt like I was sort of looking at my own image and personality. In that case, I became very engrossed with her story, and it felt really natural to feel all her emotions.

This entire story was a roller coaster ride for me, especially when I go,
GO POPPY! or
YAY! I LOVE YOU SAM! or,
WHAT? NO, POPPY, NO.
Actually, it's not even enough to list everything down. I don't think I'll be able to do so. But the thing is, I really had a great fun reading this. I just fell in love with both Poppy and Sam throughout the entire book. And seriously, that ending. I couldn't ask for a better one.

Humor+cuteness+amazing characters+great development=what else could I ask for?

Everything was just so amazing, and until now, my thoughts are still incoherent, and I'm still flailing around and having this book hangover. Even so, I couldn't really give it 5 stars because I didn't like the footnotes. Understandably, the footnotes are meant to show the intelligence of Magnus' family, and it totally fits in the story. However, it was distracting for me, and I found myself skipping them (and frankly, I don't know what was written in most of the footnotes). Also, no matter how cute and adorable this story is, I can't help but think that it's unrealistic (because hey, I don't think anybody would like to share a cellphone, right?)

Anyhow, I've Got Your Number doesn't disappoint, so go, go, GO! Go read this one, because it's absolutely humorous + amazing Poppy and Sam <3 + cute, fluffy romance.

I also want to read this but have been putting it off for a while. I like Sophie Kinsella's writing because it's so light and humorous. However, some of her characters can be really annoying. :)
